POOLE & BOURNEMOUTH VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATION

Whether you are a novice wishing to take up volleyball and find a team to play for, or a seasoned player who has just moved into the area... somewhere within these pages we aim to give you the information you need to get on a volleyball court and play!

One thing for sure, is that a lot of volleyball is played locally. From the very young (many of which have gone on to play at a high level (including playing for our national teams), to the more mature players who just play for fun and the social side of the game.

Perhaps the key features of our local volleyball, is that it is equally suited to both male and female players (often playing alongside in mixed teams); there are teams for the young right through to the mature (40's, 50's, and some beyond); there are plenty of opportunities for casual beach volleyball during the summer, and indoor league match play during the winter (and there are as many teams who play for fun rather than being truly competitive). So if you wish to get involved, please get in touch with one of the many clubs... and we will all look forward to seeing you on the court!

The PBVA Winter League consists of:

Division I (high ability level - most teams are dominated by men, but some include women).

Division II (medium ability level - most teams include both men and women).

Division III (beginner ability level - most teams include both men and women).

Ladies (range of ability levels - all teams are women only).
